Using School-Made Videos to Build Relationships

During the 2017-2018 school year, staff members at the Career Institute of Technology (CIT) developed short videos about the CTE programs offered at the school to market the programs to prospective students. The sending districts now use the videos to promote CIT. For example, counselors show the videos to help introduce the programs to prospective students and their parents. This practice helps with the appropriate placement of students in a CTE program. CIT also plays the videos for JOC members to help them better understand the programs. The videos were relatively inexpensive to produce because staff members used iPads.
